Sales Manager - St. Charles Location
• Manage sales division operations to continually improve customer satisfaction, increase sales and profit and improve the efficiency of sales operations.
• Direct sales and promotion strategies.
• Collaborate on marketing initiatives to generate targeted sales.
• Manage staff and provide division level leadership for Outside Sales Reps, Customer Service, Shipping and Distribution, Sales Yard and Quality Assurance.
• Require a Bachelor's degree in business, horticulture, communications and/or marketing. Preference for candidates with MBA or applicable advanced degree.
• Require 5-10 years of management experience with minimum 5 years sales operations management experience.
• 2-5 years experience in green indusry or related industry.
• Experience in wholesale or production/manufacturing environment.
• Professional accreditations such as CLT, RLA, CPA, ICNPro, etc.

Truck Driver - St. Charles Location – Full-Time Seasonal
• Requires a CDL License, Class B or C
• Will load trucks and deliver product to customers, promote a positive company image
• Will comply with DOT Rules and Regulations, comply with random drug and alcohol testing and routine physicals
• Keep equipment in safe operating condition, perform pre and post inspections, maintain log books
• High school diploma

Midwest Groundcovers Internship Programs!
All positions have been filled for the summer of 2009.

Midwest Groundcovers offers an opportunity for one individual to experience working in several departments and locations of Midwest Groundcovers. The intern will spend time in each of the following departments and locations.

Customer Service/Marketing
The intern will learn a variety of different aspects of marketing, including creating company promotional materials, assisting with imaging projects, learning and maintaining the plant database. The intern will also capture plant and other images as directed by the Marketing department. The student will also perform various activities and learn the inner workings of our Customer Service department and spend some time in the Retail Yard.

Plant Health
The intern will learn the pest management processes, systems and recordkeeping, ordering supplies and maintenance of equipment and facilities.

Production( Michigan)
The intern will experience aspects of plant propagation including cutting, sticking, misting, and drenching. Additional work experiences may include inventory assistance, record keeping, cultural care, pruning, spacing, aiding in fertilization of plants, tracking degree days, disease and pest identification, production scheduling insight.

Production (Illinois)
The intern will experience aspects of plant propagation including cutting, sticking, misting, and drenching. Additional work experiences may include inventory, record keeping, cultural care, pruning, spacing, tracking degree days, and production scheduling insight.

Our goal is to provide a multifaceted and meaningful opportunity for students to experience the day-to-day operations in specified focused work areas

ALL INTERNS have the opportunity to attend educational and social events such as trade shows, seminars, in house training and our company picnic.

The intern program features an initial goal setting plan at the start of the internship with a review of the program and goal achievement at the conclusion of the program.
