Juventino Castillo began working for Midwest Groundcovers on June 22, 1972. Early in his career, Peter took Juventino to do some cuttings. Peter saw how quickly Juventino was able to take cuttings and asked where he’d done it before. When Juventino told Peter this was his first time taking cuttings, Peter was astonished.
In 1995, Juventino moved from St. Charles to the Michigan nursery where he figured out how to grow Vinca. Juventino is now a supervisor at the Michigan nursery where he enjoys training seasonal employees and seeing how much product is moved through the nursery on a given day.
