Carrington has a Bachelor’s of Science in Horticulture with an emphasis in Ornamental Plant Production & Garden Center Management from Iowa State University.

Carrington has nearly ten years of experience in the green industry, having held positions in greenhouses, garden centers and floral shops. Before joining the Midwest team, she was a Research Assistant for the Horticulture Department at Iowa State University where she collected data and assisted horticulture graduate students. She also was an Associate Manager at a nursery and garden center in Des Moines, Iowa. She oversaw staff; worked in customer service and plant care; scheduled tree plantings; ran inventory reports and assisted with ordering inventory. Carrington also was a Horticulture Summer Intern at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, ME and Reiman Gardens in Ames, Iowa.

I wanted to move to the west coast to become a marine biologist and work with dolphins, despite being born & raised in the Midwest.
