Mandy Komes-Leifheit
Territory/Segment Manager – Native Plants
Mandy holds an Associate’s degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design from Kishwaukee College and has over 20 years of experience in the Green Industry. Her career began as a Landscape Designer, where she started to discover the value and beauty of native plants and landscapes. Over the past decade, Mandy has served as a Native Plant Sales Representative promoting, educating and providing valuable native species to the industry. Her understanding of the various needs within the industry makes her a valuable resource. She is an active member of Landscape Illinois and has volunteered on the Education Committee since 2016, currently serving as its Committee Chair. Mandy continues to build lasting relationships and share her extensive knowledge with others in the field.

Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up?
A Florist, growing up I had a creek that ran through my backyard, the shoreline was filled with Sunflowers, Milkweed and Vervain. I loved to put together arrangements every chance I got. Little did I know these native species would be such an important part of my life as an adult.
