MIDWEST NATIVE GARDENS

The gardens were designed to showcase native compositions that work in different scales, from residential gardens to corporate campuses.
The Midwest Native Gardens were designed and installed by Austin Eischeid and Jens Jensen in the spring of 2020. The gardens were designed entirely from our Natural Garden Natives®, a collection of plants local-eco type within 90 miles of St. Charles, Illinois. The gardens were designed to showcase native compositions that work in different scales, from residential gardens to corporate campuses.

In this video, we’re featuring a part-shade plant trio perfect for your garden. These plants flourish in moist, well-drained soil with 4 to 6 hours of sunlight daily.
This video highlights a striking mix of drought-tolerant, low-maintenance plants for hot, dry conditions: Sideoats Grama with late-summer blooms and butterfly appeal, Prairie Coreopsis for fall color and native bees, and Wild Quinine for bold texture and lasting flowers.
This video focuses on a fairly simple native planting design with high visual impact. It uses Dodecatheon meadia (Shooting Star), Koeleria macrantha (June Grass), Carex rosea (Rosy Sedge), Allium cernuum (Nodding Wild Onion).
Native plants are trending for their beauty, resilience, and environmental benefits! This video explores Natural Garden vs. Midwest Natives, pollinator-friendly picks, and top choices for home gardens.
