White Wood Aster
Nearly black stems with 3/4″ white star-like flowers that attract butterflies, bees and parasitic wasps. The foliage is heart-shaped and coarsely toothed. Prefers well-drained soil. Because this perennial tends to get leggy, cut back to about 12″ in early summer.
