Narcissus 'Ice Follies'
Narcissus, Daffodil, Jonquil
‘Ice Follies’ has 3 3/4″ bi-color flowers that appear in mid spring on 16″+ stems. The cup opens bright yellow (gradually fading to almost white) with white petals or perianth segments surrounding the cup. ‘Ice Follies’ is a Large-Cupped Narcissus meaning that the cup is about 1/3 the size of the petals that surround it. The flowerhead of ‘Ice Follies’ is the same size as the ‘Dutchmaster’ flowerhead. The difference is in the size of the cup. ‘Dutchmaster’ has a larger cup than ‘Ice Follies’. Narcissus will grow in full shade, part shade or full sun. Foliage should not be cut back until it turns brown -allowing enough time for the bulb to “absorb” adequate energy for next years flower production. Planting depth: 5″ to 8″ Space bulbs 1″ to 6″ apart.
