Deep green foliage, shade tolerant, with bright yellow stems in winter. White flowers followed by berries. Best yellow color displays on 1-2 year old stems (older stems turn brown); for best color either cut the whole plant back to short stubs every other year or cut out one-third of the oldest stems every year.
