Enrique Rodriguez started working for Midwest Groundcovers in March of 1999 as a general laborer. Growing up in Mexico, he discovered his passion at a young age — a passion for soil, water, and a passion for growing plants. Enrique says, “It is fascinating what seeds, soil, and water can do together.”
As a child, he grew beans and corn from seeds. Now he is the Production Inventory Foreman at the Midwest Natural Garden, where native plants are grown from locally sourced seed. He enjoys his work, but more importantly, he enjoys the endless opportunities to grow his knowledge of the plant world. This passion and drive for knowledge has led him to be a key player at Midwest Groundcovers for the past 20 years.
